Our Domain Road vineyard is sited in a sheltered valley in the town of Bannockburn which provides a unique micro-climate, ideal for producing premium wines. Defiance vineyard is on nearby Felton Road with gently sloping North facing vines.
The Pinot Noir fruit for this Rosé comes from vines on our Domain Road vineyard. The same hand tended quality grapes go into making this wine as we use for our premium estate Pinot Noir.
The Wine
Each vintage we endeavour to make our Rosé with our trademark pale pink colour. This to us is the colour a Rosé should be. The fragrant aromas of rose petal, strawberry, cherry blossom and ripe melon on the nose give a hint of what is to come. Crisp and dry, it delivers nectarine, white peach, lime and cotton candy on the palate.
A complex, nicely balanced dry wine with good minerality and a well rounded mouth feel that is balanced with bright acidity and a touch of fruit sweetness in the finish.
Suggested food matches: Chicken, oysters, shellfish and soft cheeses. Also starters and hors d'oeuvres. Grilled vegetable salad or in summer, watermelon and feta salad.
