It's organic so it's got to be good for you - 28 Jun 17

I've been in Blenheim for a few days at the Organic and Biodynamic Conferance. Our son Steven was there so it's was good to catch up with him as well. 

We also had a guest appearance from Fern, a native falcon. We occasionally have one flying around our vineyards along with hawks, which are a larger species. Fern is based at the Marlborough Conservation Falcon Trust premises here where the aim is to breed and re home falcons to different parts of the country.

While I was listening and talking about organics the vineyard team were practicing it on a rather cold morning, putting out some compost.

Winter Solstice - Pruning at Defiance Vineyard - 21 Jun 17

Winter Solstice (Shortest day) - Moody changing clouds hover over Cromwell, the fog slowly lifting as the day lightens and the sun emerges from behind the scenes.
