Results of recent tastings - 14 Apr 14

Our Rieslings star again – not to be outdone by its younger sister the 2012 Domain Road Water Race Riesling has just been judged TOP Riesling by Wine NZ and features on the front cover of the Magazine which appeared in the shops this week.  In the same tasting our Duffers Creek Riesling was voted ‘Team Choice’ with a top three finish in the tasting.   Both of these wines are available through our Cellar Door Club so why not treat yourself to a drop or two of central gold. 

Little wonder we had the magazine on show at the recent breakfast that we held at the vineyard as part of the Central Crush experience - an event for people in the wine industry to mark the end (or near end) of harvest.  

Harvest time - 3 Apr 14

A rose by any other name ....in this case Rosé (although we do have red roses at the end of the rows). 

We picked the Pinot Noir for Pinot Noir Rosé today – the fruit looks wonderful so for all you folks who like our Rosé for summer time drinking and were disappointed when we sold out this year - there is more on the way.

We had a beautiful day for the start of harvest and a great group of young European backpackers helped bring the fruit in.  It was a great effort by all concerned.
