The international face of wine! - 27 Feb 14

Viticulture takes on an international flavour!   Fiona has been assisted over the summer months in the vineyard by an interesting group of young people - with representatives from Chile, France, England, Germany, China, Korea and Malaysia there has never been a shortage of fascinating tales and life experiences.  Here the group appears to be praying for a good harvest after all their hard work but are in fact marking the Chinese New Year (the wearing of red was compulsory that day!).

A taste of Paradise! People visiting us this summer have been able to experience Paradise ahead of time......a drop of this exquisite wine transports you to a better place!!  Not for the fainthearted, lovers of older pinots relish the richness of the aroma and depth of flavour of this special wine, soon to be celebrating its 5th birthday.  If you are in Bannockburn in the next couple of months call by and try a taste of Paradise.    

Cuisine Riesling results - 13 Feb 14

Five stars from Cuisine!!!  Our 2013 Water Race Riesling received 5 stars and a top 10 rating in the latest issue of Cuisine magazine.  We are delighted with this result - the latest in a string of recognition that our Rieslings have received over the years.  

John Saker wrote: " A brilliant line up raised the riesling quality bar still further" and judge Dan Dineen remarked " As soon as we started judging the rieslings, our world went from 50 shades of gris to full high-defintion colour -it was blindingly obvious why this much undervalued variety is so noble.  The 2013 and 2012 rieslings from this country are exquisite!"  Cameron Douglas added - "Riesling can be fragrant and alluring, seductive and charming.  The best of what we tasted showed all these qualities".
